Kristin J. Mentzer

Kristin Mentzer received her Juris Doctorate, with honors, from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law in May of 2008.  Kristin received her Bachelor of Science, with honors, from the University of Florida in May 2003.  She has nearly 7 years of experience in the areas of commercial litigation, civil practice, creditors' rights, bankruptcy and contract disputes.

During the 2 years prior to law school, Kristin was a research associate for Magnus Research Consultants, Inc., a jury and trial consulting firm. During her tenure at Magnus, she had an active role in mock trials and litigation analysis.  While at Levin Collage of Law, Kristin received a pro bono certificate for her involvement with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, Florida's Institutional Legal Service and The Law School Mentoring Project.  She was the student assistant for the University of Florida's Director of Trial Advocacy and the Trial Practice Program.

 

In the Central Florida community, Ms. Mentzer serves as a subcommittee chair for the Greater Orlando Human Trafficking Task Force legislative subcommittee.  She also serves as International Justice Mission’s Florida advocacy leader and is a lobbyist for anti-human trafficking legislation.
