Susan attended Barry University School of Law, and attained her Juris Doctor, May, 2005, Magna Cum Laude.  She was the  Co-Valedictorian of the Full-Time Division and Editor-in-Chief, Barry Law Review, 2004-2005 academic year.

She is an active member of the Florida Bar Family Law Section, serves on the Executive Council of the Family Law Section, and several Section committees.  She has authored articles appearing in both the Florida Bar Journal and the Family Law Commentator including “Split Parenting Plan Arrangements and the Complicated Child Support Calculations They Now Demand,” The Family Law Commentator, Vol. XXIV, No. 4, Fall 2010,  “Through the Eyes of a Child: Impact and Measures to Protect Children in High-Conflict Family Law Litigation,” The Florida Bar Journal, Vol. 84, No. 4, April 2010, “The Presumptions of Privette: Have They Perished with the Coming of Daniel and Disestablishment of Paternity,”  The Florida Bar Journal, Vol. 83, No. 3, March, 2009, “When Relationship Partners Will Not (or Cannot) Marry...The Enforceability of Cohabitation Agreements and Considerations for Provisions to be Included in Them, Family Law Commentator (Fall, 2007), and has co-authored “International Child Abduction and the Hague Convention,” Barry Law Review, Vol. 6, Spring, 2006.

She has lectured for Continuing Legal Education seminars on the issues of child support, contempt, legislative updates, and equitable distribution.  Ms. Savard also serves on the Board of Directors of the Central Florida Family Law American Inns of Court.  She is Florida Bar Board Certified in Marital and Family Law.
