Valerie Weatherford Evans has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1986 and has practiced exclusively in marital and family law since 2006. A former high school teacher, she has a great deal of experience in utilizing the problem solving approach to resolving disputes in order to preserve relationships whenever possible.

Valerie is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is a member of the Central Florida Family LawAmerican Inn of Court as well as the Orange County Bar Association. Valerie has served on the 5th District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission from 2006 to the present. Additionally, she served on the Ninth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission from 1999 - 2006. She served as a Speaker's Appointee to the 1998 Florida Constitution Revision Commission and as a Chairman's appointee to the 2000 Orange County Charter Review Commission. Valerie also served as the International Vice President of Extension for Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity, a women's fraternity member of the National Panhellenic Council. She is an advisory Board Member for Living Hope International Ministries and is a member of the National Republican Lawyers Association.

Valerie received both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science from Troy University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She received her Juris Doctor with Honors from The Florida State University College of Law.
On a personal level, Valerie is married to the Honorable Robert M. Evans, a Circuit Judge in the Ninth Judicial Circuit, and is the mother to one daughter, Susan, who was home schooled full time for 11 years.
